Quality Management: Process Landscape

DIN EN ISO 9001 requires that interactions of the processes of a quality management system (QMS) must be described. A process landscape (process map) is the visualization of this.
What a process landscape should look like is not clearly defined. Usually processes are first divided into the following three process levels:
    - Management processes (above mentioned leadership processes)
    - Core processes (above all main processes, business processes, management processes, key processes)
    - support processes (e.g. service processes, support processes)
The number of levels can be freely selected, but most of the time the maintenance effort increases with the number of levels.

Basically, all business processes can be visualized with a process landscape.
This results in a good overview but also detailed descriptions in the lower levels.
